Officer Jeff Mitchell
Officer Mitchell attended the St. Charles County Police Academy in 1992. He began his law enforcement career at Malden Police Dept. in 1993. During his time there, he conducted a wide variety of investigations, especially drug investigations. He worked closely with the SEMO Drug Task Force and the Bootheel Drug Task Force. Officer Mitchell was a K-9 officer for several years. He was on the Special Service Unit and their Bike Patrol Unit.
In 1996, he became a member of the Dunklin County Major Case Squad and is currently a member of the Stoddard County Major Case Squad. Officer Mitchell held the rank of Sergeant for eight years. He is a firearms instructor and Taser instructor. In the past, he has taught courses on field interviews - stop and approach, felony car stops, and basic firearms survival. He also attended ASU and Three Rivers Community College.
Officer Mitchell joined the Dexter Police Department in 2001. He currently is assigned to the patrol division and is a member of the Dexter Special Response Team.
